Wakelock Revamp - PowerManager Review
Wakelock Revamp - PowerManager is a free Android utility and tool application developed by darken. It provides access to Android's Power- and WifiManager, allowing users to keep their device's screen on, CPU running in standby mode, and Wifi connection at full performance. Additionally, users can keep the screen on in full brightness or dimmed mode during movies and override power saving measures if they are causing issues.
This modernized version of the "WakeLock - PowerManager" app has four main permissions: WAKE_LOCK, RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED, READ_PHONE_STATE, and INTERNET. The WAKE_LOCK permission is obviously allowed to acquire wakelocks, while RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED starts the app after device reboots. READ_PHONE_STATE allows the app to acquire a lock just for the duration of the call, and INTERNET is for automatic crash tracking. However, there is an option to disable this feature if desired.
